Shahneela Tariq has 3 years of teaching experience in international law and previously has taught social work, sociology and communication skills for 2 years. Prior to coming into academia, she has worked in marketing and communications with national and international organizations.
She has earned an M.Phil. Degree in international relations from Kinnaird College for Women Lahore. She is also working as the country coordinator at Global Institute for Water, Environment and Health, a Geneva based NGO. Shahneela has also worked as an intern with the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to UN” in Geneva, where she has acquired exclusive experience in Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs by attending high level meetings, events and wrote notes, reports, etc; for the government of Pakistan.
Shahneela writes on international nuclear law and international humanitarian law in the context of international security. She is passionate about women economic empowerment and youth advocacy in Pakistan.
